Friday Harbour’s mission is to provide free temporary housing for cancer patients and their caregivers as they seek cancer treatment at The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Texas Children’s Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. By alleviating the strain associated with funding temporary housing, we hope to instead bring light to what is likely the most extraordinary circumstance in the life of the patient, and in the lives of those that love them. While providing free temporary housing is Friday Harbour’s primary mission, we will partner with other organizations to provide, when at all possible, limited transportation, food, access to local sporting or cultural events, and other amenities as requested, and as available.
